lineslineslineslines.

Not much to say about this sketch; I was just playing around with lines and movement.

snapped.

Soooooo, apparently the wood I used for my longboard wasn't strong enough, haha. Last night, when my friend and I were on a hill, it snapped. It was just so funny to see it collapse in, that even though I don't have a board again, I'm fine with it. I think I might just order a deck next time. I might take a picture of the snapped board later.

yume nikki.

Okay, so I just found a game that looks really creepy/scary called Yume Nikki. It's apparently an RPG of some sort where you're a shut-in named Madotsuki and you traverse through her dreams, which are really creepy looking. It's a freeware game, which you can get here, and I think I might try it. Hopefully I won't get too scarred.

stats.

So these are the stats for this blog. Who are you guys from abroad that are looking at my postings?

longboard.

So, if you know what I've been up to, then you'll know that I've been trying to build a longboard. Here are two pictures of it so far. The first one is how i bent the board. Yeeeeppp...

This other picture is after it has been cut out of the board. Now the sanding begins.

more audrey.

Today, I shall show you yet another thing that is inspired by Audrey Kawasaki. I plan on using this sketch and developing it into either a piece on just a plank of wood or actually do it on my longboard, which is coming along nicely at the moment. I'll show pictures of it later.

audrey kawasaki.

Okay, so out of my list of artists I like, Audrey Kawasaki and Amy Sol are two of my favourites. I was looking through her site and got inspired to try and imitate that style since I have trouble drawing girls normally, so this was like practice. Anyways, here it is.

knitting.

Soooo, I'm kind of able to knit, only my pieces kinda fail... I did learn how to purl and cast off on my own though!

cheery dragons

So far, I have finished two people's requests. Johny requested that I make an origami dragon, sooooo here it is. Onyee wanted me to make a cheery sounding mix, so click here to listen! (The "here" up above is a link, in case you can't tell.)

Vacation Challenge.

I realized that with all my time, I don't spend it well enough. As a result, I'm going to accept certain challenges to do stuff, under certain requirements.

1. It only requires me (and the challenge, if he/she wants to participate).
2. It doesn't require me to spend money.
3. It doesn't require me to break any rules or laws.
4. It has to be something unique and actually requires thought.
5. I require the right to decline any challenges.

Trample.

Since it is Monday, I will show you more pictures of my work. Sooooo, there we go. I drew it for my drawing class at SCAD.

yet more music.

Seriously, 8tracks is starting to take over my life. I just made a new mix at 6 am because my life has a messed up schedule. Doing nothing has never been so difficult. Anyways, click here to listen and enjoy the ride. Keep your hands idle and your ears open.

DFD

It's Friday, so as a plan to keep myself in check, here is something that i drew a few weeks ago when I was at SCAD. There you go.

"DFD by the way, for those of you who don't know, stands for Dumbfoundead; a great Korean-American independant rap artist."
-Charley Yan

8tracks.

I've decided that since I've been listening to both rap/hip-hop and classical music a lot recently, to make a mix that contains both! Enjoy.

Anyone?

Does anyone even read this? No? Okay, then I shall spend the rest of the day back in the comfort of my bed.

Recently, when I am going to sleep, I leave my computer on and a series of movies/shows playing so that I can listen as I drift off. This actually sort of makes me feel even more alone at times because I know I'm just putting it on so that I don't have to listen to the silence. I realize that this escalated from before, when I first started putting on music (usually The Pains of Being Pure at Heart). The emptiness of rooms is just too overwhelming at times, is what I'm trying to say. I feel so agoraphobic.

I wanted to put up a picture, but I haven't really drawn anything relating to this recently, so stay tuned. Mondays and Fridays will be sketchbook/art days.

Dexter

I have just recently started watching Dexter, that show about the serial killer who only kills bad people and works as a forensics expert for the Miami police. It's such an intense show that makes me grossed out and intrigued at so many instances. The amount of blood and dismembered body parts on that show is disturbing, only I'm not fully disturbed yet. Have I become desensitized? Is this what society does to people? Have we been so tainted by the media that we watch shows about serial killers and actually enjoy them?
Anyways, that wasn't really what I wanted to talk about most is how the character always feels so disconnected from people. He goes through life pretending to be sane and normal, despite harbouring his dark passenger. Dexter is pretty sure that he doesn't feel most emotions that other people do, but he is able to still pass it off so well. I sometimes wonder if I was merely conditioned to act the way I do and if I'm really like Dexter, just trying to pretend and be as "human" as I can be. What a scary thought.

because we all feel lonely.

Recently, I have discovered (fully) the extent of 8tracks and made my own account! I fucking love 8tracks. [Shameless plug] It has both led to my recent exposure into other bands as well as share my own current musical favourites with my friends. I lurf exposing new music to people and I'm sure that even if this dies, the other will outlive it. Sorryyy, you crazy blog-readers.

Anyways, as a show of progress in my otherwise dreary life of blahness, here's a really bad quality picture of a spread in my current pocket sketchbook. Which I believe somehow ends up being above this?

PS-This post is also sort of for you (you know who you are) since I didn't want to show you an almost completely blank blog.
